Our company is seeking an Inkjet Imaging Technician to setup, maintain, and troubleshoot digital imaging equipment running in-line on commercial offset presses for functions such as ink jetting programmed mailing addresses, letters, numbers, barcodes and graphics to include colored images, logos and maps in-line on high-speed web applications.

Requirements

  • 2-year electronic technical/associates degree or military equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience with inkjet imaging systems.
  • Technical knowledge of Kodak 6240, S10, DH91 & Fuji Samba imagers and related controller software.
  • Diagnose computer hardware and software malfunctions.
  • Basic networking skills.
  • Ability to walk/stand for entire work shift.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel or crouch per job requirements.
  • Frequent lifting up to 65 pounds during set-up of equipment.
  • May be exposed to hot/humid and/or dusty work environment.
  • May be exposed to controlled non-toxic chemical mists or vapors.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of postal regulation for Standard Mail per USPS specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with production personnel regarding variable imaging capabilities and requirements for jobs running on press.
  • Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot variable imaging equipment and software, including Kodak 6240, S10, DH91 & Fuji Samba imaging systems along with its related software.
  • Communicate with team members and management to determine or foresee possible imaging issues and offer alternative viable solutions.
  • Maintain all imaging equipment and related components by performing scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration per SG360° processes and procedures.
  • Report your time and production results accurately, be on time to work, work overtime to include weekends and adjust shift schedules when requested to meet the demands of our customers and scheduling needs.
  • Improve your skills, suggest improvements, cooperate with other departments, and improve your knowledge of SG360° processes related to the graphic arts industry.
  • Follow proper work procedures, comply with SG360° policies including safety and security rules and perform duties/projects as assigned.
