About The Position

INX International is seeking an Ink Maker to tend mills safely and efficiently, grinding raw materials to manufacture high-quality printing ink. The role involves preparing, mixing, milling, adjusting, filtering, packaging, and labeling ink according to batch instructions and established procedures. The Ink Maker also operates mixers and a forklift and makes quality-control adjustments as instructed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 6 months of previous manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math, communication, and mechanical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Office) programs.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of 5S workplace practices.
• Knowledge of TPM.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follow batch instructions to weigh batches and charge and mix inks.
• Understand and apply proper mixing procedures and knowledge of raw materials.
• Monitor temperature and mix speeds and adjust as needed.
• Follow milling procedures, adjusting pump speeds and mill rates.
• Filter, package, and label inks according to procedures.
• Make quality-control adjustments as instructed.
• Weigh raw materials for manufacturing printing ink.
• Operate one or more mixers safely and efficiently.
• Package finished products.
• Operate a forklift.
