About The Position
Under minimal to no supervision, the Ink Inplant Tech II provides intermediate-level color matching, formulation, and small-batch blending support at a customer location. The role produces and quality-controls inks to meet or exceed customer specifications, supports production scheduling, and provides technical service at the press side. This is a customer-facing position requiring strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as dispensing and color-match software.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout the day.
- At least 3 years of industry experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills for a customer-facing role.
- Ability to lift buckets weighing up to 50 pounds and move 500-pound drums following operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Produce and quality-control inks to ensure they meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Perform color matching and formulation.
- Maintain detailed production and quality-control records.
- Support the customer's schedule through production coordination.
- Identify and execute rework opportunities based on review of batch tickets.
- Provide press-side technical service, troubleshoot problems, and prepare detailed, consistent technical reports.
- Maintain monthly and weekly reporting to CTS and the Sales organization.
- Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.
