About The Position
Under minimal to no supervision, the Ink Inplant Tech II provides intermediate-level color matching, formulation, and small-batch blending support at a customer location. The role produces and quality-controls inks to meet or exceed customer specifications, supports customer production schedules, and provides press-side technical service and troubleshooting. It also includes production and quality-control recordkeeping, reporting, rework identification, housekeeping, and safe operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as dispensing and color-match software.
- Ability to lift 50 lb. throughout the day.
- At least 3 years of industry experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills for a customer-facing position.
Responsibilities
- Produce and quality-control inks to ensure they meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Perform color matching and formulation.
- Maintain detailed production and quality-control records.
- Coordinate production to support the customer’s schedule.
- Identify and execute rework opportunities based on batch-ticket reviews.
- Provide press-side technical service, troubleshoot problems, and deliver detailed, consistent technical reports.
- Maintain monthly and weekly reporting to CTS and the Sales organization.
- Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.
- Lift buckets weighing up to 50 lb. and move 500 lb. drums following operating procedures.
