About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking an engaging and enthusiastic part-time Injury Prevention Specialist to support a manufacturer onsite in Shenandoah, Iowa. The role integrates ergonomics, employee education and coaching, preventive exercise programs, early intervention strategies, and health and wellness services to reduce workplace injuries and enhance employee well-being. Coverage is needed 1–2 weekdays per week, for a total of 10 hours, with scheduling matched to the specialist’s availability. The position is PRN and pays $32.00–$37.00 per hour, based on years of experience.

The role may suit an athletic trainer, exercise physiologist, EMT, PTA, COTA, or an individual with a similar background. The listed location is 102 Main St, Pella, IA, with work onsite in Shenandoah, IA.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.
• Minimum one year of experience.
• CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions.

Responsibilities

• Perform ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and deliver employee education and perform audits.
• Conduct movement assessments and develop preventative exercise programs.
• Engage with new-hire employees on education, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Deliver return-to-work programs for employees returning from injury.
• Provide early symptom intervention (ESI) care for employees.
• Provide health and wellness coaching on a wide range of topics.
