About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking an engaging and enthusiastic part-time Injury Prevention Specialist to support a manufacturer onsite in Shenandoah, Iowa. The role combines ergonomics, employee education and coaching, preventive exercise programs, early intervention strategies, and health and wellness services to reduce workplace injuries and support employee well-being. Candidates may have backgrounds such as athletic training, exercise physiology, EMT, PTA, COTA, or a similar field. Coverage needs will be paired with the employee’s availability. The position is PRN, with weekday coverage of 1–2 days per week for a total of 10 hours. Compensation is $32–$37 per hour, depending on years of experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.
• At least one year of experience.
• CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions.

Responsibilities

• Perform ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements.
• Develop and deliver employee education and perform audits.
• Conduct movement assessments and develop preventive exercise programs.
• Engage new employees in education, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Deliver return-to-work programs for employees returning from injury.
• Provide early symptom intervention (ESI) care for employees.
• Provide health and wellness coaching on a wide range of topics.
