About The Position

Genesis Manufacturing & Distribution is seeking a Shift Coordinator for its injection molding operations. The coordinator performs responsibilities assigned by the Shift Supervisor and serves as a point person for inspecting production, communicating staff assignments, ensuring production staff have sufficient inventory, and covering machines as needed. The coordinator follows the supervisor’s daily priorities while independently handling essential tasks that help keep production running efficiently. The role requires knowledge of various injection molding processes, effective time management, problem-solving ability, and a team-oriented approach. The position is on a Monday through Friday overnight shift, from 10:53 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The facility operates 24 hours and produces plastic components used in medical research, clinical diagnostics, and biotech environments.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Injection molding experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure standards and test procedures are met.
Communicate effectively to participate in continuous improvement and problem solving.
Perform cleaning and general maintenance tasks.
Cover injection molding machines during lunch breaks.
Perform material control tasks, including cycle counting, lot tracking, and other inventory needs.
Manage floor inventory, taking direction from the supervisor regarding the parts being run.
Train new or newly assigned employees on job duties, responsibilities, and machine instructions.
Enforce machine assignments as assigned by the Supervisor.
