The Automation team is responsible for the development, diagnostics, and maintenance of all automated packing equipment and robotics. Automation team maintains safety, improves production efficiencies and product quality. Essential Functions Handle and operate any machinery, tools or equipment used safely while performing job duties. Must be able to read and understand blueprints Mechanical and Electrical Must be able to work with electrical power from 24v to 480v Must be able to adjust sensors or know how to configure sensors Set up & debug new automation as needed Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various packing, automation and mold equipment Develop, install, and program automation and robotics Develop, install and validate vision systems Assist with the integration, startup and debugging of plant floor equipment Maintain clean work environment Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and use of PPE (ear plugs) is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be regularly required to: Remain stationary extended periods of time Move around facility to service machinery Position, maneuver, and move anywhere from 10-50 lbs Manipulate small parts, tools, levers, and other small, hand-eye coordinated tasks. Position self to ground level as needed to adjust machinery, or other lower level tasks Effectively communicate with other employees in department, and supervisor
