About The Position
Mercury Plastics is seeking a third-shift Injection Mold Operator for its Middlefield, Ohio location. The operator follows training parameters to become proficient in operating injection molding machines and supports production and quality goals. The position works Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay is $20.50–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Hand-eye coordination.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Ability to visually identify quality variances.
- Ability to stand and walk for the full shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to twist, pull, push, kneel, and bend.
Responsibilities
- Learn the injection molding process and machine operation.
- Load plastic tubes onto the molding machine and activate it.
- Unload tubes from core pins at the end of the molding cycle.
- Maintain cycle times.
- Visually inspect finished parts for compliance with quality specifications.
- Pack finished parts for shipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and the work area.
