Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the design and project management of building mechanical systems.
  • Mastery of French and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD, REVIT, and Office 365 Suite.
  • Excellent ability to perform technical analyses, propose innovative solutions, and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and adhere to deadlines and fee budgets.
  • Collaborative spirit and positive leadership to influence technical decisions and client relationships.
  • Strong team spirit, mentoring, and support skills for colleagues.
  • Sense of organization and priority management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical supervision, coordination, verification, and design of various building mechanical projects.
  • Collaborate with the team to design mechanical systems related to buildings for different sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural, and residential) in building mechanics.
  • Establish contact with the client to understand their needs.
  • Project management or discipline lead responsibilities based on experience and affinities.
  • Conduct surveys of existing installations.
  • Analyze, design, and adapt building-related installations.
  • Prepare preliminary project studies and various types of client reports.
  • Estimate construction costs and participate in schedule development.
  • Write specifications and technical reports.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinarily with internal and external professionals.
  • Provide assistance during construction supervision.
