About The Position

They are seeking a Building Mechanics Engineer, known for their ability to influence technical directions, guide teams, and build strong client relationships. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the design and project management of building mechanical systems.
  • Mastery of French (oral and written) and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD, REVIT, and Office 365 Suite.
  • Excellent ability to perform technical analyses, propose innovative solutions, and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, and meet deadlines and fee budgets.
  • Collaborative spirit and positive leadership to influence technical decisions and client relationships.
  • Strong team spirit, mentoring, and support skills for colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver robust, sustainable, and innovative mechanical solutions for high-technical-level institutional, commercial, cultural, and residential projects.
  • Act as a partner to clients: understand their challenges, challenge ideas, and propose concrete and effective solutions.
  • Visit sites to analyze existing conditions, critically assess installations, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Design and adapt mechanical systems by combining best practices, standards, and creativity.
  • Actively participate in the evolution of internal practices, share expertise, and advance methodologies.
  • Produce clear, useful, and applicable pre-project studies, technical notes, and reports.
  • Evaluate construction costs and contribute to realistic and well-structured schedules.
  • Write specifications and technical documents that facilitate quality execution.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Support projects through to delivery by assisting with work supervision and ensuring installation compliance.
