BPA is seeking a Project Manager - Building Mechanical Engineering, recognized for their mobilizing leadership, rigor, and ability to grow a team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the design and management of building mechanical projects.
  • Proficiency in French (oral and written) and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD, REVIT, Office 365 Suite.
  • Excellent ability to perform technical analyses, propose innovative solutions, and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines and fee budgets.
  • Collaborative spirit and positive leadership to influence technical decisions and client relationships.
  • Strong team spirit, mentoring, and support skills for colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign, and coordinate design and modeling teams to effectively deliver building mechanical projects.
  • Be responsible for client projects, ensure follow-ups, maintain a high level of quality, and balance client expectations with profitability objectives.
  • Build clear work plans, ensure project financial follow-up, and collaborate closely with project managers.
  • Review ongoing work, identify inefficiencies in practices, and implement concrete actions to improve performance.
  • Support, coach, and develop team members while evaluating their performance.
  • Contribute hands-on by performing design and/or modeling, coordination, and technical verification of projects.
