As a power electrical engineer, you will participate in the design, analysis, and execution of various medium and high voltage projects. You will contribute directly to the technical quality of mandates and work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Any experience in consulting engineering or other relevant fields is sought, in addition to a certain autonomy required.
  • Knowledge of applicable Canadian standards and codes.
  • Mastery of French, both oral and written.
  • Innovation, autonomy, ease of collaboration, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical supervision, coordination, verification, and design of various power electrical projects, particularly in the command, protection, and automation of electrical installations.
  • Collaborate in a team to carry out medium and high voltage design and study projects for various sectors (data centers, institutional, commercial, transportation, green energy, etc.).
  • Establish contact with the client to understand their needs.
  • Conduct surveys of existing installations and gather information related to issues.
  • Perform studies related to electrical networks (short-circuit calculation, protection coordination, harmonic analysis, arc flash exposure calculations).
  • Develop cost estimates and work schedules, monitor and manage them.
  • Write or approve technical specifications and reports.
  • Provide technical assistance to designers.
  • Provide assistance for work supervision or perform supervision.
