About The Position

The SOGECLAIR DIGITAL ENGINEERING consolidates and develops engineering projects within the group, characterized by a diversity of fields of expertise. Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from a recognized university
  • 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in aerospace engineering
  • Knowledge of propulsion systems and related disciplines (installation, pneumatics, avionics, electrical systems, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of core principles such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, combustion, and control systems
  • Familiarity with DO-160 qualification standards and the ARP4754A development assurance process
  • Experience with system design tools and simulation software
  • Ability to balance technical engineering work with project management tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data analysis, reporting, and presentations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex issues
  • Strong teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment, with autonomy and good communication abilities
  • Well organized with strong coordination skills
  • Willingness to travel for short assignments

  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Participate in propulsion systems engineering activities and support related systems (fuel, APU, FTIS, etc.)
  • Ensure system integration and coordinate with the different stakeholders involved
  • Define system architecture, prepare requirements, and conduct technical studies as needed
  • Contribute to technical problem-solving and root cause analysis activities
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation (drawings, procedures, test reports, analyses, etc.)
  • Provide technical oversight of suppliers and support testing activities
  • Analyze system data and recommend corrective actions when required
  • Support production and in-service support teams
  • Ensure program schedule and milestone adherence
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge and best practices in propulsion systems engineering
