About The Position

Hatch is currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join its Montreal office team. The role involves planning, design, and construction of heavy industrial buildings and associated equipment supports, as well as infrastructure. The candidate will be part of the Project Delivery Group (PDG), a dynamic team dedicated to executing world-class projects globally. This team is known for its expertise in sustainability studies, asset construction and operation, and cutting-edge efficiency, applying unparalleled methodologies, governance principles, and engineering systems.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Possess 8-15 years of experience in steel and/or concrete structure design
• Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
• Have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team
• Have a solid knowledge of design codes and standards

• Bilingualism is an asset (French and English)

Responsibilities

• Perform design of steel and concrete structures
• Supervise and coordinate the preparation of plans and specifications
• Define client needs and innovative solutions to meet them
• Participate in project planning
• Participate in project cost estimation
• Participate in the tender process and bid analysis
• Provide technical support to the project and construction team
• Participate in the design and multidisciplinary coordination process
