About The Position

Le secteur électrique d'Eaton recherche actuellement un ingénieur en systèmes électriques pour rejoindre notre équipe. This role is all about delivering expert engineering solutions and technical guidance to customers—covering everything from power systems studies and power quality analysis to protection and control, design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving abilities
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and project management capabilities
  • Solid understanding of safety precautions when working with electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Knowledge of both the company’s and competitors’ electrical distribution and mechanical products is essential
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in power systems engineering.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the use of SKM, PTW, ETAP, EDSA, CYME, or EasyPower software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, protection & control, design, installation, start-up, maintenance, repair and training.
  • Self- management of assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates.
  • Performs engineering assignments that may involve power systems analysis, power quality measurements and audits, consulting and design services, troubleshooting, and problem solving relative to power distribution equipment.
  • Focus on short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow and power quality analysis.
  • Interpret specifications and customer inquiries; design technical proposals and pricing for customers.
  • Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Values and Philosophy, as well as Safety and Environmental standards.
