About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a meticulous, performance-oriented Electrical Engineer for its Mass Transit, Rail Systems & Telecom practice. This full-time opportunity involves working on complex and diverse transportation projects, providing a cross-functional view of all involved disciplines. The role focuses on various types of cable routing (duct banks, conduits, trenches, trays) integrated into diverse infrastructures such as bridges, tunnels, railways, and elevated structures. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Minimum of 10 to 15 years of design experience.
• Functional bilingualism (French/English).
• This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as the clients and/or suppliers you will interact with are primarily English-speaking and located outside Québec.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the railway sector (a significant asset).
• Practical knowledge of CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review cable routing plans and specifications in a BIM environment for 25 kV electrical distribution, telecommunications, railway signaling, and traffic light signaling systems.
• Participate in and carry out complete design work based on preliminary concepts and calculations, including determining conduit diameters and locating cable trenches.
• Analyze cable routes considering obstacles and multidisciplinary constraints (drainage, railway, civil engineering, architecture, etc.).
• Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
• Actively participate in project meetings.
• Manage consulting mandates within the discipline.
• Ensure follow-up on work progress and schedules through to commissioning.
