About The Position

Soleo Health is seeking a Part-Time Infusion Nurse to support our Specialty Infusion patients in The Woodlands, TX. The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate site setting.

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge and have used IV access devices to include: IV lines, accessing ports, and administration of infusion medications.
  • Must be licensed as an RN in the state of Texas.
  • Current RN Licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in the applicable home state, in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Valid state issued driver’s license with no significant restrictions on that license.

Nice To Haves

  • IVIG Infusion experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required.
  • Experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct patient care administering IVIG, biologics and other infusible or injectables as ordered.
  • Appropriate patient education.
  • Completing comprehensive nursing assessments.
  • Establishing peripheral intravenous lines as well as accessing/maintaining central venous lines. (PICC lines, Implanted port, Midlines).
  • Efficient and timely submission of clinical records.
  • Medication preparation and administration.
  • Triage infusion patient inquiries.
  • Ability to travel to other location(s) on occasion.
  • Excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide clear communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities for the enhancement of care delivery offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.
  • Adheres to standards of safety and infection control, in the delivery of patient care.
  • Management of OIC required documentation.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting of all patient care areas in AIC.
  • Management of OIC supplies.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and complies with all policies and procedures related to the performance of job duties.
