About The Position

Soleo Health is seeking a Per Diem Infusion Nurse to support our Specialty Infusion patients in The Woodlands, TX. The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate site setting. This role involves administering IVIG, biologics, and other infusible or injectables, performing comprehensive nursing assessments, establishing and maintaining intravenous lines, preparing and administering medications, and triaging patient inquiries. The nurse will also be responsible for efficient and timely submission of clinical records, providing clear communication and collaboration, participating in performance improvement activities, adhering to safety and infection control standards, managing AIC documentation, cleaning patient care areas, managing AIC supplies, and demonstrating thorough knowledge of all policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Current RN Licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapy.
  • Current nursing license for applicable home state.
  • Responsible for providing administrative oversight, including monitoring of workflows, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing resources efficiently to meet organizational objectives.
  • Must be available to respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring rapid and effective resolution of issues to minimize impact on operations. Availability during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the nature of the emergency.
  • Experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Valid state issued driver’s license with no significant restrictions on that license.
  • Must have knowledge and have used IV access devices to include: IV lines, accessing ports, and administration of infusion medications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required.
  • IVIG Infusion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct patient care administering IVIG, biologics and other infusible or injectables as ordered.
  • Appropriate patient education.
  • Completing comprehensive nursing assessments.
  • Establishing peripheral intravenous lines as well as accessing/maintaining central venous lines. (PICC lines, Implanted port, Midlines).
  • Efficient and timely submission of clinical records.
  • Medication preparation and administration.
  • Triage infusion patient inquiries.
  • Ability to travel to other location(s) on occasion.
  • Provide clear communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities for the enhancement of care delivery offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.
  • Adheres to standards of safety and infection control, in the delivery of patient care.
  • Management of AIC required documentation.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting of all patient care areas in AIC.
  • Management of AIC supplies.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and complies with all policies and procedures related to the performance of job duties.
