Infusion/Advice RN for GI in NE Portland (Part-Time)

Requirements
- Current Oregon state licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS is required.
- Knowledge of IV medications, fluids, and blood products.
- Skill in performing venipuncture and working with a variety of vascular access devices associated with infusion.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
- Excellent communication skills, attendance, and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience is strongly preferred.
- Infusion and Triage experience is a strong plus!
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred. Epic experience is a plus!
- Prior experience with authorizations is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Providing professional nursing care for clinic patients under the direction of a Physician(s) and within their scope of practice according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Performs clinical care in accordance with nursing standards within the specialty, including determining and monitoring venipuncture or catheter placement/insertion sites and administering IV medication and treatment.
- Verifies necessary information and performs patient assessment and triage.
- Performs prescription prior authorizations and orders prescription refills according to clinic protocols.
- Orders and maintains medical inventory of supplies as needed. Supports the QA/QI process.
- Provides patients, families, and caregivers with health education on infusion/IV treatment and care.
- Other duties as assigned.
