About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Infrastructure Technician. This is a Full-time, Contract to Hire position with a duration of 06 Months, located in New Albany, OH. As an Infrastructure Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, servicing, and decommissioning structured cabling systems including fiber optics, copper, communications, and other low voltage systems. You will also build and remove cabinets, racks, cable trays, pathways, and related data center infrastructure. The role requires performing physical installations and removals with precision, safety, and attention to detail. You should be comfortable teaching and learning from peers, contributing positively to team culture, and able to distinguish color for cable identification. Proficiency with telecom and construction hand tools, safely and effectively, is essential. You will be expected to read and follow project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines, and apply a broad understanding of structured cabling installation, routing, labeling, and commissioning. Ensuring installations meet design intent, customer requirements, and industry standards is key. You will also help plan materials, tools, and tasks to keep projects moving smoothly.

Requirements

3–5 years of telecom/structured cabling experience
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license
Ability to follow instructions carefully while working with strong independence.
Able to distinguish color for cable identification.
Proficient with telecom and construction hand tools, safely and effectively.

Nice To Haves

Data center experience.
OSHA10.
FOA certifications, BICSI cabling certifications, or similar credentials.
