The Infrastructure Technician installs and services copper and fiber optic cabling systems, including Category 3, Category 5, Cat5e, Category 6, and fiber optic structured cabling systems. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing cabling infrastructure systems, as well as performing upgrades and additions to existing infrastructure. The technician will also install and remove cabinets, racks, cable tray systems, and related communications infrastructure. Key responsibilities include coordinating with operations teams, maintaining accurate work documentation, requesting and managing equipment, supporting emergency service requests, transporting tools and materials, participating in meetings and training, and achieving performance metrics.
