About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist 2 to join our Division of Information Technology Services. This role provides high-quality technical support to our Juvenile Correctional Facilities, Regional Parole Offices, and Central Office, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient operations.

Requirements

• 48 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
• Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; and 30 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
• Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; and 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
• Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
• Must maintain valid driver's license and remain eligible for state's liability program coverage.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and administer hardware and software across multiple technology domains
• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve technical issues for end users, ensuring timely and effective resolution
• Interface with other platforms from hardware and software perspectives
• Create, organize, and maintain technical documentation, ensuring thorough and accurate records
• Review and monitor enterprise security systems, responding promptly to alarms and alerts in alignment with agency policies and procedures
• Maintain, update, and manage user access controls and security tools, including patch management and assisting with third-party patching
• Provide system owners and IT staff with effective vulnerability mitigation strategies, metrics, and corrective recommendations to reduce technical and business risk
