Infrastructure Network Testing Lead

Northern Trust•Chicago, IL

About The Position

The Infrastructure Network Testing Lead is responsible for independent validation, testing, and quality assurance of enterprise network changes across LAN/WAN, security, and cloud platforms. The role ensures that changes meet functional, performance, security, and compliance requirements before production deployment, partnering with Network Engineering, Operations, CAB, Risk, and release teams to support high-quality, low-risk releases. The position acts as a quality gate to reduce incidents and improve deployment success through structured testing and automation. The lead estimates effort, tracks failed-change incidents, identifies improvement opportunities, and drives efficiency and effectiveness through automation of network and security change testing and process optimization. The role also maintains validation evidence, test reports, quality metrics, and regulatory documentation, and supports release decisions with clear validation results, risks, and readiness status.
