About The Position

Infrastructure Engineer Phoenix, Arizona US Citizens & Permanent Residents only (no sponsorship is available). @Orchard LLC is actively recruiting an Infrastructure Engineer to support a major management consulting engagement, located in the Phoenix, AZ area. This is an on-site role for the client, responsible for maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure environments across servers, databases, middleware, networking, and cloud platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure monitoring and observability tools.
  • Strong experience with Server provisioning and configuration management.
  • Good knowledge of Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancing, Firewalls) and enterprise storage and backup solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with Shell-scripting, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines & DevOps practices.
  • Experience supporting Enterprise applications & middleware platforms.
  • Experience supporting database environments (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management capabilities.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Understanding of system performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Experience working in high-availability and mission-critical environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or Prometheus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support enterprise infrastructure environments across Linux/Unix and Windows servers, virtualized and cloud environments, middleware, and application hosting platforms.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and system availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with the application, database, network, security, and DevOps team.
  • Implement infrastructure automation and operational improvements.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and banking regulatory requirements.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup, and high availability strategies.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and incident management processes.

Benefits

  • Compensation ranges are determined by several factors, including skill set, experience, licensure and certifications, and location. The anticipated range for a base salary for this role is between $90-120K. There may be some flexibility for exceptionally qualified individuals.
