Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Candidate must be able to work onsite.
• IT systems administration experience with Linux or Windows server technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, BASH, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability management, and securing virtual machines (e.g., VMware, Proxmox).
• CompTIA Security+ certification or a willingness to obtain one.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a solid grasp of systems engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Configure, secure, and troubleshoot critical systems in the lab and aboard ships.
• Work with a supportive team to tackle challenges and deliver solutions that matter.
• Lead projects, influence decisions, and contribute directly to mission success.
• Gain real-world experience testing and installing solutions aboard Navy and Coast Guard ships, with up to 50% travel.
