About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer / DevOps Specialist for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract. The role is responsible for system design and application integration across platforms supporting internal employee-facing applications. Key responsibilities include performing environment upgrades, conducting shakedown activities, and ensuring overall environment availability.

Requirements

Strong Experience in RHEL.
Middleware (WebLogic, JBOSS, Tomcat, WebSphere).
Experience with the build-out of new applications, upgrades of existing infrastructure, and/or code deployments of currently utilized applications.
Good knowledge of Windows / IIS.
Strong experience in administering and engineering highly available distributed systems.
Provide expert technical guidance for System Design and System Integration.
Experience in building and rolling out high availability and disaster recovery for Linux / Windows infrastructure.
Identify opportunities to optimize current solutions and perform technical analysis and/or provide hands-on technical support to troubleshoot problems.
Ability to quickly assimilate into a complex environment and rapidly learn existing and inbound technologies.
Knowledge on CI-CD and ability to work on deployment tools like XLRelease, Ansible, Harness, etc.
Look for opportunities to automate manual efforts.
Independently solves common problems and updates applications with new technology.
Collaborates with engineers, architects, developers, and other staff to meet project objectives.

Nice To Haves

Experience with application code deployments, environment management support, and release functions.
Experience in Windows and Linux environments, working knowledge of Linux Commands.
Knowledge of DevOps toolsets such as IBM Urban Code, Ansible, XLR, Repliweb, Jenkins, Maven/Ant, JFrog Artifactory, TFS/Bitbucket.
Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of application functional issues.
Knowledge of Middleware like WebLogic, WebSphere, IIS, JBOSS, Tomcat, MuleSoft and BladeLogic components.
Knowledge of issue management request systems like Quality Center, JIRA, Remedy.
Knowledge of Monitoring tools like SiteScope, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.
Organizational and troubleshooting skills.
Understand process improvement to create ideas and drive deployment efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience in SDLC process, GUI application/server transfer and automation tools, data analytics.
PowerShell, Unix Shell Scripting.
Knowledge of version control repository tools such as Subversion.
