Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud & DevOps)
About The Position
CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud & DevOps) opening for our premier client. This role is responsible for providing 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless operations across various applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure components. The engineer will build and set up new development tools, infrastructure, and networking, while maintaining and deploying cloud applications. Responsibilities include developing and configuring infrastructure and configuration as code (Ansible and Terraform), administering Dev, Test & Production environments on Windows, Linux, and Unix servers, and managing load balancing and CDN options from cloud vendors. The role also involves installing and configuring databases (MYSQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL), ensuring system security against cybersecurity threats, identifying and fixing technical problems, and installing software updates. Additionally, the engineer will support the installation and maintenance of a logging cluster using Logstash, ElasticSearch, and Kibana for centralized log parsing from applications and Docker containers. The specialist will identify and resolve issues related to APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, ICP management, middleware, network, security, and infrastructure. Escalation to appropriate support levels will occur if issues cannot be resolved. The specialist will be proficient in cloud application architecture, perform initial analysis on incidents, manage Application ID, and provide cloud elasticity through auto-scaling. Ensuring DR and manual redundancy failover capabilities, and providing regular service management reports are also key duties. Familiarity with ITIL processes and Integrated Service Level Management is expected. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
Requirements

- Knowledgeable on installing and configuring MYSQL, MSSQL PostgreSQL and other databases
- Ensuring systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identifying and fixing technical problems
