About The Position

The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) is seeking an Infrastructure and Technology, Student (Part-time, other) to join the Executive/Infrastructure and Technology team. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in information technology, computer science or a related field required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and standard desktop tools required.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, security practices, endpoint protection standards and system configuration standards required.
  • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information is required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor job scheduling systems to identify late, failed or incomplete processes and assist in resolution.
  • Operate and maintain Computer Room and peripheral equipment; report issues to appropriate staff.
  • Provide tier-one technical support via phone, walk-in or web channels; document and route incidents in ticket tracking system.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support workload requests and operational tasks.
  • Participate in reviewing and updating documentation and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of system status and assist in daily operational reporting.
