About The Position

Engage Studios designs, innovates, and builds digital/physical products for various companies. They focus on making a difference through strong execution and collaboration. The role is based at a client on the west coast of Sweden, a European research and development organization focused on next-generation vehicle architectures, digital technologies, and intelligent systems. This is a long-term, full-time, on-site assignment.

The client is seeking an Infotainment UX designer to shape the user experience across in-vehicle screens and related digital touch points. The designer will create UX concepts, wireframes, and user-centered designs, conduct research and testing, and collaborate with UI designers, function owners, and product owners to ensure the HMI is consistent, accessible, and intuitive.

Requirements

• Professional education in UX, interaction design, HMI or similar (required)
• Minimum 3 years of UX experience (required)
• Experience with user-centred design processes, wireframing and prototyping
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional product development
• Fully proficient in English (required)
• Valid category B driver’s license (required)
• Tools: Figma (required) and Adobe Creative Suite (required)
• Available on-site west coast of Sweden, longterm full-time (100%)
• Design portfolio required (PDF or link)

Nice To Haves

• Chinese language proficiency
• Sketch and Principle tools
• Automotive, infotainment or embedded systems experience
• Understanding of digital in-vehicle experiences
• Jira
• Light SW/HW prototype familiarity

Responsibilities

• Develop new concepts for the infotainment system
• Define and maintain UX specifications
• Collaborate with UI designers on UI specifications
• Conduct user research and clinics
• Perform UX verification and testing of software in cars
• Present and communicate HMI design and concepts to stakeholders
• Work with function owners, product owners and testers to safeguard HMI quality
