About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Information Technology-based Systems Engineer (SETA) to support an Intelligence Community customer. The role provides technical expertise across Systems Engineering topics—including requirements, configuration management, readiness, verification, and validation—and advises the government on program activities related to IT infrastructure provisioning. The successful candidate will deliver practical, thorough, and consistent recommendations and deliverables aligned with organizational objectives. The position combines project engagement leadership, customer advocacy, technical and relationship management, and program oversight. It supports Government oversight of Desktop Engineering but does not perform hands-on Desktop Engineering tasks. The role also involves translating product and customer requirements into systems solutions while accounting for technical, schedule, and cost constraints; advising on IT services and infrastructure; and developing governance and process documentation.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting post-award contract execution and program management in a construction or facilities environment.
  • Experience managing task order-based contracts and processing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in a construction context.

Nice To Haves

  • Act as an organized change agent supporting quality assurance and the transition toward standardized IT service delivery.
  • Apply project management experience to support Government oversight of Desktop Engineering without performing hands-on Desktop Engineering tasks.
  • Translate product requirements into total systems solutions that account for technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Coordinate functional, timeline, and trade-study analyses, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware, software, or engineering specifications.
  • Use knowledge of network architecture and desktop backend infrastructure—including servers, storage, applications, and security configurations—to inform oversight and recommendations.
  • Educate consumers about current and upcoming IT service deliveries, changes, and potential impacts to existing capabilities.
  • Understand the relationship between customer delivery schedules and IT service roadmaps.
  • Advise on service requirement gaps in support of customer mission architecture.
  • Provide detailed information on solution selection, implementation techniques, and tools to meet business needs and present and future capacity requirements.
