About The Position

SAIC is seeking a mission-driven Systems Engineer/SETA to support a customer project. The role focuses on tailored requirements processes, technical documentation review, interface definition, and process development. The successful candidate will apply systems engineering principles and practices and contribute to processes and acquisition strategies.

The Systems Engineer will work with customer and contractor stakeholders, support system development and acquisition, evaluate technical risks, and review developer system designs through conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases. The role also includes preparing technical materials and supporting executive-level milestone review briefings.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI clearance and Poly.
• Bachelor’s degree and 10 or more years of technical experience.
• Demonstrated strong experience with systems engineering and acquisition.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality products.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask on large, complex systems engineering efforts.
• Experience gathering and implementing system requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize technical documentation to identify system requirements and constraints.
• Develop or implement tailored requirements processes to support system development and acquisition.
• Develop acquisition strategies and support contract execution, including evaluating vendor proposals and assessing technical risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize system requirements and develop solutions that meet them.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents and technical notes.
• Analyze technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support the development and implementation of systems engineering processes and procedures.
• Assist in crafting project review briefings for executive-level milestone presentations.
• Maintain collaborative relationships through timely, precise communication with customer and contractor stakeholders.
• Review developers’ system designs throughout conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases.
