About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining desktop computers, laptops, and network-related hardware and software. It involves setting up new user accounts, performing installations, and advanced troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and connectivity. The position also provides first and second-level end-user IT support for various technologies, including troubleshooting system, network, and equipment issues, assisting with backups, and training users on applications and new systems. Administrative duties include creating and maintaining help desk tickets, documenting issues, and enforcing corporate standards. The role also involves managing software and hardware inventories, leading and participating in IT projects, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing second-level information technology support with an emphasis on end-user and personal computer support.
  • Advanced Technical proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Active Directory, LAN/WAN operations, and other applications as defined by the location supported.
  • Strong knowledge of network concepts, terminology, and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with users and department leaders to identify and troubleshoot IT needs and issues.
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues into simple terms.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work for maximum efficiency.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, teamwork and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to crawl and climb ladders.
  • Occasional availability for off-hours maintenance and emergencies.
  • Strong desire and aptitude for learning technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, Network+, A+).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains desktop computers, laptops, and network-related hardware and software, including setup, new user account creation, installations, and advanced troubleshooting to ensure optimum performance and connectivity.
  • Provides first and second-level end-user IT support for technology issues, including troubleshooting system, network, and equipment problems, performing upgrades, supporting phone and voicemail systems, assisting with backups, and training users.
  • Performs administrative duties for IT needs, creates and maintains help desk tickets, documents and communicates issues related to enterprise systems, and enforces corporate and local standards and policies.
  • Maintains software and hardware inventories for infrastructure equipment and applications.
  • Leads and participates in related projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
