Information Technology Senior Consultant
About The Position
ANS is seeking a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph cleared Information Technology Senior Consultant to join our team in Fort Meade, MD. The role involves planning, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, securing, integrating, implementing, operating, and maintaining custom solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetApp and other storage technologies, SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel, iSCSI, capacity planning, performance tuning, data center migrations, and high availability concepts. A strong understanding of hardware, TCP/IP, and security best practices is also required, along with experience connecting storage arrays to hypervisor technologies like NUTANIX, VMWARE VCF, and OpenStack. The position requires CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II DoD 8570 compliance, proficient communication skills, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to take direction.
Requirements

- Hands-on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts
- Experience with SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel and iSCSI storage implementations
- Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments
- Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments
- Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies
- Senior-level experience with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware platforms and data centers
- Strong understanding of high availability concepts with practical experience and implementation of key components in storage environments
- Strong understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts (I/O, paging, swapping, system calls), iSCSI, Fiber Channel, Ethernet
- Strong understanding of essential TCP/IP concepts: TCP, UDP, ICMP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, DNS, NTP, etc.
- Experience connecting storage arrays to Hypervisor Technologies (NUTANIX, VMWARE VCF, OpenStack).
- Understanding of security best practices and federal hardening requirements (FISMA, STIG, etc.)
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II DoD 8570 compliance
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Strong collaborative attitude and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to take direction
