About The Position

Seeking an Information Technology (IT) Director. Position is full time, Monday through Friday, daytime hours, exempt status. The IT Director develops and maintains hospital IT policies and procedures, and is responsible for hardware/software configuration, setup, maintenance, and repair. They possess general knowledge of networks and VPNs, provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance. This role authors/maintains IT documentation, including software/hardware user guides, and serves as the primary trainer for hospital staff in all matters relating to computer hardware. They also assist Department Leaders in training and implementation of software, and are responsible for IP based telephone equipment. The IT Director coordinates and participates in the computer activities of the hospital to ensure continuous, accurate, timely, and cost-effective services are provided. They interact with all departments in the hospital and communicate effectively to ensure efficient computer systems operation. This role ensures that all departmental and hospital policies and procedures are followed to maintain the integrity of the hospital, with an emphasis on privacy and security. They monitor departmental activities and facility hardware and software to identify and correct problems that would impede computer system functions. The IT Director provides technical expertise and problem-solving techniques to the department and the facility to achieve desired results in computer applications. They oversee employees of the IT Department and may include participation in on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or a minimum of five years Information Technology experience.
  • Experience with providing end-user support on PCs.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Networks (File shares, NTFS permissions, printers, general TCP/IP networking).
  • Strong knowledge of Hardware (hands on experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and replacement).
  • Applicant must pass a background check, employer provided health assessment (including applicable vaccines) and provided drug screen before hiring.
