About The Position

The Oregon Judicial Department (OJD) is seeking an Information Technology Associate to join the Multnomah County Circuit Court. This role is crucial for supporting the court's operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of its technology infrastructure. The OJD serves the public, often during challenging life circumstances, and this position plays a part in making justice services accessible. Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management, public administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of technical experience in the duties and infrastructure support required.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to 7 years of experience that support the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
  • Experience evaluating system efficiency and suggesting improvements.
  • Experience identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Experience with installing and configuring Windows operating systems in a business setting.
  • Experience managing a Microsoft Windows enterprise environment including, but not limited to, desktop/laptop maintenance, support, and network issues.
  • Experience communicating technical issues to a variety of users with different computer skill levels.
  • Strong customer service skills in person, by phone, by email and over chat.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support, responding to requests and answering questions in-person, remotely, via phone, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Research and resolve a wide range of court technical support issues.
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot mobile and desktop equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, monitors, public kiosks, and displays at all court locations.
  • Work with vendors and manufacturers to troubleshoot installed hardware and software.
  • Manage security access for new and existing court staff and judges.
  • Manage asset and annual IT technical inventory, documenting changes and recording disposed and new equipment purchases.
  • Configure and install Voice-over-IP (VOIP) phone systems, conference room equipment, and Cisco Finesse and Jabber unified communications software.
  • Provide services during official closures due to hazardous environmental conditions or inoperable facilities.
  • Perform assigned tasks which may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.
