About The Position

The person provides general administrative support to the Information Technology Department.

Requirements

  • Some college or technical school education beyond High School in computer technology.
  • Two to four years of directly related experience.
  • Training concepts and methods
  • Word processing.

Responsibilities

  • Functions as initial phone or e-mail contact person for first level corrective action involving computer workstation hardware problems.
  • Responsible for tracking and documenting issues and their solutions.
  • Conducts routine daily computer operations.
  • Performs computer backups.
  • Performs a variety of clerical and secretarial duties.
  • Composes routine correspondence, maintains office supplies, compiles data for routine reports, answers telephone calls and makes appointments.
  • Compiles and analyzes basic information for inclusion in reports or presentation materials; prepares charts, graphs, or tables as necessary.
  • Receives and responds to routine correspondence following established procedures not requiring management review.
  • Performs related duties as required.
