About The Position

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a proactive, organized, and adaptable professional to support the numerous IT needs of the Judicial Education and Performance unit. The individual will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the judicial performance data and systems to improve unit workflow. The individual will also be responsible for assisting in IT and Audio-Visual support for the judicial education programs. Responsibilities include working with MS Access and other related database applications; creating forms/surveys; audio/visual support for conferences and continuing education programs; audio and video production including both the recording and editing of audio/video in support of Judge's continuing education. The selected candidate will interface with all levels of Judiciary employees, including Judges, so prior customer service experience is preferred. The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, business analytics, data analytics and/or cybersecurity and one year of professional experience in: analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems, testing, defining business requirements, training and/or installing computer systems applications OR planning, acquiring, installing and implementing telecommunications facilities and services, wide area networks, or local area networks OR generating and maintaining system software OR business analysis which may include defining and gathering business and functional requirements, analyzing and validating data and/or documenting test plans OR business analytics OR data analytics.
  • Proven experience in information technology, audio/visual production.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Access and similar software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain data quality standards.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to training event venues statewide.

  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance MS Access and other relational database applications.
  • Administer and maintain resource libraries in SharePoint and other technology environments.
  • Provide on-site technical support for Judicial Education programs.
  • Create and produce audio and video recordings.
  • Create intermediate MS Excel formulas to summarize and analyze large data sets.
  • Create professional and engaging MS PowerPoint presentations appropriate for targeted audiences.
  • Utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access at intermediate level to analyze and present information for executive level review.
  • Deliver technical training for judges.
  • Judiciary online legal research account management support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by unit manager.
  • Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
