About The Position

This role serves as a critical bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational and mission requirements. The Information Technology & Data Analyst will support enterprise IT systems and leverage data to drive informed decision-making across the organization. Recognized as one of Computerworld’s Top Places to Work in IT for seven consecutive years, APL is seeking someone to analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders, and support decision-making through reporting, modeling, and visualization. The role involves designing and maintaining interactive dashboards, developing lightweight tools, scripts, or workflows to automate data processing and reporting, and improving existing systems and processes for efficiency, scalability, and usability. Additionally, the analyst will analyze business and operational requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions, support the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and monitoring of IT systems and applications, and monitor system performance and data quality, identifying issues and recommending improvements. The position requires interpreting policies, requirements, and standards and translating them into data collection and reporting needs, ensuring data is captured accurately, consistently, and in compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory requirements. The analyst will also participate in risk, change, and configuration management activities, work with systems, databases, and APIs to extract and integrate data, support system upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh efforts, perform queue and task management activities for classified systems, and develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and user guides. Collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to support initiatives, and providing technical and data-related guidance to users and leadership are also key aspects of this role.
