About The Position

The Information Technology Administrator (IT) is responsible for maintaining and supporting BHP's computer network, servers, telecommunications systems, hardware, software, and related technology resources. This role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs for various technology components. The administrator also manages technology inventories, system documentation, and department procedures, while monitoring technology needs and recommending improvements. A key aspect of the role is ensuring security and compliance by maintaining appropriate security controls, user access permissions, password management, backup systems, and cybersecurity protections. The IT Administrator must maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information and ensure technology systems comply with all relevant policies and regulations. Additionally, the position provides technical assistance and Help Desk support to employees, develops training materials, and coordinates with vendors and contractors for technology initiatives. This role also includes supervising assigned Information Technology personnel.

Requirements

  • Maintains and supports BHP's computer network, servers, telecommunications systems, hardware, software, and related technology resources.
  • Installs, configures, maintains, troubleshoots, and coordinates repair of computer equipment, network devices, telecommunications equipment, and software applications.
  • Maintains technology inventories, system documentation, and department procedures.
  • Monitors technology needs and recommends improvements, upgrades, and solutions that support agency operations.
  • Maintains appropriate security controls, user access permissions, password management practices, backup systems, and cybersecurity protections.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of protected health information and other confidential agency information.
  • Ensures technology systems are maintained in accordance with agency policies, accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, licensing standards, and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Provides technical assistance and Help Desk support to employees.
  • Assists employees with troubleshooting hardware, software, network, telecommunications, and system-related issues.
  • Develops training materials and provides instruction regarding the proper use of agency technology systems and software applications.
  • Coordinates services, support activities, projects, and technology initiatives with managed service providers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Participates in technology planning and implementation activities supporting organizational objectives.
  • Supervises assigned Information Technology personnel, including assigning work, providing coaching and training, conducting performance evaluations, participating in hiring activities, approving leave requests, and addressing performance concerns in accordance with agency policies.
  • Maintains professional knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Works assigned schedule, maintains regular attendance, and performs other duties as assigned.
