The Information Specialist is at the center of critical safety communications, serving as a trusted resource for workers, employers, and the public. In this role, you are responsible for responding to safety-related inquiries received through the 1 800 line, email, and digital forms, providing clear, accurate, and timely information. Every interaction you handle has the potential to prevent injuries, support compliance, and ultimately save lives. The Safety Branch operates 24/7, 365 days a year, responding to workplace concerns, incidents, and inquiries. As the first point of contact you will: Help individuals navigate OHS legislation, regulations, and technical safety requirements. Support the intake and response to serious incidents including injuries, fatalities, and hazardous situations. Provide clear, accurate information that directly influences workplace safety and compliance. Ensure critical information gets to Safety Officers and leadership when it matters most. This is not just an administrative role, it is a high-impact position for someone with OHS knowledge or experience who wants to apply it in a fast-paced, public-facing environment.
