About The Position

Community Federal Savings Bank (CFSB) is seeking a motivated Information Security Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or IT operations. The role supports daily security operations, monitoring, and compliance, and contributes to building and maturing the in-house SOC. It is an opportunity for someone progressing early in their cybersecurity career.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or IT operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts and tools.
• Strong analytical skills and eagerness to grow in the cybersecurity field.

Nice To Haves

• Entry-level certifications such as Security+, Network+, or CySA+.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring security alerts, analyzing events, and escalating as needed.
• Support SOC operations, including log analysis, alert triage, and threat monitoring.
• Help conduct vulnerability scans and follow up on remediation.
• Assist in managing security tools, including SIEM, EDR, IAM, and email security tools.
• Contribute to security incident handling and documentation.
• Support user access management and privileged access reviews.
• Assist in maintaining security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in cybersecurity awareness activities and phishing simulations.
