About The Position

The Information Security Analyst will perform routine analysis of information security monitoring reports, research and document evidence for follow-up of anomalies, and monitor and respond to real-time security alerts. This role involves documenting and reporting findings, communicating effectively with stakeholders regarding security incidents, and ensuring the proper operation of information and physical security monitoring technologies. The analyst will collaborate with other security team members and IT staff, demonstrating a team-oriented approach and a drive for continuous improvement. Marginal responsibilities include monitoring threat intelligence and vulnerability disclosure sources.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of technical education or experience with a focus on Information Security or Information Technology preferred.
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills and attention to detail required.
  • A basic understanding of networks and operating system security fundamentals is required.
  • A team-oriented individual who works well with others and places a premium on the group’s success.
  • A self-starter with initiative and drive for continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of key security controls including firewalls, antimalware, and vulnerability management is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SIEM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine analysis of information security monitoring reports.
  • Research and document evidence for follow up of anomalies.
  • Monitor and respond to real time security alerts from various security tools and escalate as necessary those events which may be indicative of a security incident.
  • Document and report findings, actions taken, and lessons learned.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding security incidents and mitigation efforts.
  • Document procedures and processes associated with security program activities.
  • Report on metrics used to measure compliance with information security standards.
  • Ensure proper operation of information and physical security monitoring technologies.
  • Collaborate with other security team members and IT staff to address security incidents.
  • Monitor threat intelligence and vulnerability disclosure sources to evaluate relevancy and risk to the Bank’s environment.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
