About The Position

The Information Review and Release Analyst will manage case workflow from accepting and opening cases, through the entire lifecycle to closure. This includes sending acknowledgement and final response emails to the requester, conducting a cursory review to determine if additional internal reviews or external referrals are needed, performing edits to remove sensitive information not appropriate for public dissemination (including recommended wording when possible), and preparing all correspondence for Government signature.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated competency in performing complex administrative and analytic tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, and specialized review platforms).

Nice To Haves

  • Comprehensive knowledge of information governance frameworks including FOIA, PA, Prepublication Review, Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR), and Executive Order (EO) 13526.
  • Experience with classified information handling and reviewing procedures.
  • Knowledge of intelligence community structures and information sharing protocols.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough document reviews, apply precise redactions using electronic and manual methods, process, and coordinate responses for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), Prepublication Reviews to ensure sensitive information is properly protected.
  • Perform thorough assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews to ensure consistency and accuracy, and to prepare/maintain all case or project administrative files and other documentation, to include all correspondence and tasks.
  • Administer both mandatory and discretionary information review programs in accordance with federal laws, regulations, and client-specific policies.
  • Identify equities, treat with the appropriate redaction codes, and make recommendations for additional referrals or consultations when necessary.
  • Deliver precise, high-quality work within strict deadlines.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
  • Perform multilevel document reviews.
