The Information Management Analyst Lead will identify and manage existing and emerging risks stemming from business activities and the job role, ensuring these risks are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled. The role involves leveraging advanced data management knowledge to support information management practices, identifying and implementing process improvements, and leading discussions with cross-functional teams. Best practices and tools will be aligned based on business needs. The position is responsible for updating Information Asset Inventories and validating data and asset classifications. The Lead will champion and support the delivery of information in accordance with Information Governance standards and data management practices, integrating these practices into existing and emerging information technologies. This includes reviewing and validating metadata repositories and associations, improving metadata to add organizational value, and supporting Data Lineage collection for end-to-end data flow of critical data. The role also involves reviewing, validating, and recording data quality information, including rules, thresholds, and standard metrics. Development of controls to mitigate data quality risks, including plan development, rule check implementation, and monitoring results through reports and dashboards, is key. Identifying and maintaining data quality corrective action plans, and supporting compliance assessment by reviewing and documenting failures from data quality checks, are also responsibilities. Analysis of Root Causes to identify risks and opportunities to strengthen controls and reduce residual data quality risks is required. The Lead will recommend Master and Reference Data processes and procedures, create and maintain reference data, and manage the quality and maintenance of master data. Developing archiving and purging strategies and processes, and partnering with IT and Legal to ensure compliance with legal requirements for these activities, are part of the role. The position supports the compliance assessment process by identifying and escalating risks and partners with IT and other Information Management resources to define and implement Access Management strategies. The Lead will also champion Privacy initiatives through classification and analysis of sensitive data, ensuring compliance and remediation in accordance with defined policies and processes.
