The Belmont Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an Infection Preventionist to join their team. This role involves planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, coordinating, and directing the Infection Control Program. The Infection Preventionist will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and updating reference materials, precautions, and procedures related to infection control. They will also educate staff, residents, and representatives on Antibiotic Stewardship, monitor infected personnel and residents, and assist in evaluating and implementing Standard Precautions. The position requires maintaining records of infections, corrective actions, and preparing monthly summaries. The Infection Preventionist will also handle follow-up procedures for exposures, analyze laboratory tests, and ensure proper treatment and reporting for residents with infectious diseases. Participation in resident admission screening and ensuring nursing staff adherence to infection control practices are also key responsibilities.
