About The Position

Job Summary:
Is responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections.
Collaborates with teams and individuals to create and sustain infection prevention strategies and provide feedback.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in: Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Clinical laboratory science, Medical Technology, Another related medical field.
• Two (2) years of relevant infection prevention and control experience.
• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act).
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC®) credential from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) within two (2) years post-hire.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years acute care hospital experience.
• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act).
• CIC® credential from the CBIC at hire.
