About The Position
We are looking for an Infection Preventionist (IP RN)/ Staff Development Coordinator (SDC RN) to join our team. Requirements
- Unencumbered RN license in the state
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
Nice To Haves
- Infection control experience
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
- Experience with PointClickCare
Responsibilities
- Develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensure that the facility is in compliance.
- Make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures.
- Analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing.
- Prepare summaries of all resident/staff infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission.
- Meet with staff, residents and family members to explain precautions and ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed.
