INFECTION PREVENTION COORDINATOR (RN)

About The Position

Texoma Medical Center is a 414-bed acute care facility serving North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The Infection Prevention Coordinator provides professional nursing care and leadership in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Patient-centered care and service excellence guide the nursing practice, with professional nursing standards supporting safe, competent care. The role requires an RN or other clinical license and experience in acute care or epidemiology; the successful candidate must obtain CIC certification within three years.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) or other clinical license required.
Three years of experience in an acute care hospital or in epidemiology.
Obtain CIC certification within three years.
Initiative to establish courses of action for self and others and collaboratively implement plans with follow-up.
Analytical skills to gather and analyze data, prepare reports, and recommend action plans.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Experience in microbiology, epidemiology, process improvement, and/or clinical education is desirable.
Intermediate-level skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and other computer programs are desirable.
