About The Position

Ohana Pacific Health is seeking a passionate Clinical Educator and Infection Prevention Coordinator to plan, develop, and coordinate education and development programs for facility team members, contractors, and volunteers. The role oversees the facility infection control program and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to education, quality improvement, and infection control. It coordinates in-service activities across departments, develops and directs orientation for nursing personnel, and maintains records, reports, and reference materials for educational programs.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Registered Nurse licensed by the State of Hawaii Board of Nursing.
• Ability to learn the use of quality improvement methods and materials.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in clinical staff development in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the facility infection control program and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to education, quality improvement, and infection control.
• Coordinate in-service activities and programs with departments, contractors, and volunteers in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Develop and direct the orientation program for nursing personnel in accordance with nursing department policies and procedures, and for other departments as assigned.
• Develop and maintain attendance records, reports, and reference materials related to educational programs.
